You are a one of a kind creation of God.
God created you in His image so you could have fellowship with Him.
God wants you to love and to praise Him.
God loves you and wants you to have a close personal relationship with Him.
When your life on Earth is done, God wants you to live with Him forever, in heaven.
But there is something that keeps us apart from God.....
Sin is disobedience to God.
We have all disobeyed God.
Romans 3:23 says, "all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God."
God hates all sin.
Our sin seperates us from God.
God is Holy. Man is Sinful.
We cannot have a personal relationship with God unless we discard our sin.
We will not be allowed in heaven unless we get rid of our sin.
God is a Holy God and He must punish our sin.
We cannot do anything to ourselves to get rid of the sin.
Good deeds will not erase our sin.
We cannot pay to have our sin removed.
There is only one way God will take our sin away.
Jesus is God.
Jesus is Son of God the Father.
Jesus lives in heaven with God.
Just over 2,000 years ago, Jesus left heaven to come to earth to be born a baby.
His Father is God. His mother was Mary.
Jesus was all God and all human.
Jesus is the God-Man.
Jesus lived a sinless life.
When Jesus was 33 years old, He allowed Himself to be nailed to a cross.
While Jesus hung on the cross, He took upon Himself your sin and everyone's sin.
As Jesus hung on the cross, God poured out His wrath against our sin on to Jesus.
Jesus, who was sinless, took the punishment for our sin and died on the cross.
Jesus sacrificed His life to pay the penalty for all of our sin.
But Jesus Christ did not stay dead.
God raised Jesus from the dead.
Jesus stayed on earth for forty more days.
Jesus was seen by many people at different time and places.
Then Jesus returned to heaven to be with His Father where He is today.
So how does Jesus' dying on the cross 2,000 years ago help you today?
Because Jesus took our sin and the punishment for our sin, God can offer to forgive us.
God offers you this free gift:
forgiveness of sin - It's Free
eternal life in heaven - It's Free!
But like with any free gift you must accept God's offer.
It's Your Choice:
You can receive God's offer
or you can reject God's offer.
You receive God's offer of forgiveness and eternal life by trusting Jesus.
Jesus said, "For God so loved the world that He gave His only Son (Jesus), that whoever believes in Him shall not perish but have eternal life." - John 3:16
Jesus also said, " I am the way and the truth and the life. No one comes to the Father but by me." - John 14:6
You must want to turn from your sin and come to Jesus Christ.
You must trust in Jesus and Jesus alone to take away your sin and give you eternal life in heaven.
The choice is yours:
you can trust Jesus Christ and spend eternity in heaven with God,
or you can reject God's offer and spend eternity in hell in torment separated from God.
If you would like to trust Jesus Christ to take away your sin and grant you eternal life in heaven,
here is what you must do:
1. Admit that you have sinned and need God's forgiveness.
2. Believe that Jesus died for you on the cross, and that God raised Him from the dead.
3. Tell God you are trusting Jesus and Jesus alone to take away your sin and make you acceptable in heaven.
4. Invite Jesus Christ to come into your life; tell God you want to follow Jesus.
Would you like to trust Jesus Christ to take away your sins?
You can pray this simple prayer to God.
"Dear God, I have sinned and need your forgiveness.
I believe that Jesus died for my sins and that You raised Him the dead.
I trust Jesus and Jesus alone to take away my sin and to give me eternal life in heaven.
I now invite You to come into my life.
I ask you to take away my sins and grant me eternal life in heaven.
I want to follow Jesus Christ.
I pray in Christ's name. Amen"
Did you sincerely pray that prayer?
The Bible says, "Everyone who calls upon the name of Lord shall be saved." Romans 10:13
The apostle John was an eyewitness to the life, works, miracles, death and resurrection of Jesus.
John writes in the Bible: " But these (miracles) are written that you may believe that Jesus is the Christ, the Son of God, and that by believing you may have life in His name." John 20:31.
This is just the beginning of a wonderful new life with Christ.
Here are some things to help you grow in your relationship with Christ:
1. Read your Bible every day.
2. Talk to God in prayer every day.
3. Tell others about Christ.
4. Worship, fellowship and serve with other Christians in a church where Christ is preached.
